(Milford, CT) The Milford Education Foundation will be hosting their third Evening Under the Stars event at Joseph A. Foran High School on November 9, 2018, from 5-9 pm. Few people know that Joseph A. Foran High School has a planetarium, and the Foundation uses this event to showcase this, and promote other education outreach initiatives that they conduct for the local community, throughout the year.
This educational event will be hosted by David Mestre, Director of the Henry B. duPont III Planetarium at the Discovery Museum in Bridgeport. Tickets are $5 per person, and there will be three 45-minute planetarium shows, conducted at 6pm, 7 pm, and at 8 pm. Musical entertainment, provided by the Joseph A. Foran High School Jazz Band, as well as games, and activities for the kids, are all included in the ticket price. Food trucks will be at hand, for those who wish to purchase food at the event.
Evening Under the Stars is a family-friendly event that welcomes the community to come together, learn more about the planetarium and astronomy, and enjoy time together.
